How to Make the Best Pancake Characters

Make fun pancake art in just 4 easy steps, poor, flip peel and enjoy!

Pancake batter

3 tbsp of butter

Tracy Cakes transfer paper

Heat a lightly oiled/buttered griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. We used a non-stick griddle (set between 350-375 degrees), which did not require oil or butter.

Prepare the pancake batter according to your favorite pancake mix brand. Use a light colored batter and place batter into a squeeze bottle for best results. We used Aunt Jemima pancake mix for this recipe. Now you are ready to create your character.

1. Properly place the transfer paper on the griddle. Using a squeeze bottle pour the batter covering your character. Outline the outside of the character and then fill the inside. Make sure not to pour the batter on thick. Cook for 2 minutes or until bubbly. See video for more details.

2. Flip the pancake with the transfer paper. With a spatula, lightly smooth over the transfer paper on top of the pancake. Cook for 2 minutes or until you see the edges are dry

3. Peel the transfer paper gently. As the pancake cooks the transfer paper will start to separate.

4. Enjoy!  It's that easy!!
